In this video I try my first ever street shave in Pakistan. Walking through the streets of Islamabad I spotted a mirror hanging from a tree and soon realised it was part of a tiny open-air barbershop. The barber welcomed me, agreed a price and got straight to work on my beard right there on the roadside. His skills were sharp, steady and professional, and afterwards he surprised me with an intense head massage that left me completely relaxed. The whole thing cost just 400 PKR, less than a couple of pounds, for both the shave and massage. Of course, for the skill, effort, and the memory he gave me, I felt it was only right to give him more.
