WOW was I underestimating the power of 1940's filmmaking and story telling LOL. This movie was beautiful, full stop, from start to finish. I wasn't sure what I was in for but by the end I had been graced with one of the most charismatic and charming movie characters I've ever seen. George Bailey is a true gem of a human, and Mary Bailey isn't far behind him. Seeing the kindness and compassion they brought to the world was so heartwarming and such a beautiful thing to witness. The world needs more people like George, but sadly I think we have less and less of them each year. It's hard to elaborate on why this movie hits so personally for me without giving TMI, but seeing someone else in such a dark place who feels like they just don't have anywhere to go or anything to lose, fight back to wanting to live again, and seeing the beauty of the life that's around them... It just hits home a certain way. Loved experiencing this movie. Love you all for recommending it to me, and I truly hope you enjoy watching along with me.
