Jamie's Kitchen | Full Episode | Season 1 Episode 3 Jamie faces a serious problem. Some of his trainees aren’t attending classes and others aren’t up to scratch. The size of the problem becomes apparent when eleven of the fifteen fail their first exam, the NVQ 1. Whilst they can re-sit the exam quickly, Jamie has to seriously reconsider the size of the challenge he has taken on. And one trainee with an attitude problem, Michael, is suspended from the course after a confrontation with the Head of Chef School. Jamie takes the remaining 14 for a camping trip to start moulding them into the chefs he wants them to be. By staying and working on a free-range pig farm in Cumbria he hopes to instil in them the importance of identifying good food at source. But when he tests their knowledge upon returning to London, it is clear that the message hasn’t sunk in.
