Justice (Retired) S. Muralidhar has been a judge who has made many headlines. From his landmark decision on decriminalising homosexuality to questioning the Delhi police for inaction in the Delhi riots of 2020. Last month, his edited book “(In) Complete Justice? - Supreme Court at 75” was released. It features essays by several experts in law covering different aspects. In this interview given to the BBC's Umang Poddar, Justice Muralidhar talks about the highs and lows of the Supreme Court in its 75 years of existence, the pressures that judges face at various levels, and what hopes he has for the judiciary in the future.
