We approached a home that looked distressed but no one was living there. That’s where we met Barbara who got us in contact with the home owner and after finding out the home had been sold we decided to stay In the neighborhood and help the church property down the street. Quickly we found out there was a group of people who hang out there regularly and really wanted to know what we were doing and why. Now this ends up being quite a wild story as it develops and Mrs. Barbara not only fills us in on everything going on in the neighborhood but she actually becomes a good friend in the end and ends up almost in tears. This day was a reminder that we can really make a difference when we step out of our comfort zone and begin to love our neighbors well.
