Making a Leather Sunglasses Case | Relaxing DIY Leather Craft

In this leather craft tutorial video, I show my step-by-step process for handcrafting an heirloom sunglasses case. There's a digital download pattern so you can craft along with me! This sunglass sleeve is a luxurious, detailed, and unique take on your typical glasses case. It's designed to fit most sunglasses, even larger pairs (like the ones I bought for my big head.) The raised core gives it a high-quality vintage aesthetic that's perfect for anyone who appreciates the craftsmanship. It was a ton of fun to make and rewards those who enjoy the finer details of leathercraft. I used a 2.5 oz vegetable-tanned leather hide for this project, as well as a 2.5:1 ratio mixture of Fiebing's "Show Brown" and "Golden Brown" for the dye. The thread is a flat Ritza in white, and the whole thing is treated with Fiebing's Pro Resist for a bit of water resistance.
