Video Description
In this guide, I demonstrate how to migrate from ISC DHCP to dnsmasq or Kea DHCP in OPNsense. I am going to assume you have upgraded from OPNsense 25.1 to 25.7 before attempting to migrate to dnsmasq or Kea since I will be discussing the export/import options for static DHCP leases which is available on OPNsense 25.7. OPNsense included that feature to help users migrate away from ISC DHCP. There are a number of nuances in how you may set up the DHCP and DNS options in OPNsense, but I will only cover a few of them. My website guide will have a bit more details than I will discuss in this video since I did not want to go down too many tangents to stay on topic.
