It's got more of what I call "wallop" after EQ. - The vocal gets brought forward, pulling out clarity and texture. Before EQ, it's just a droning mess, and after EQ, it's a pleasant bed of vibes. - Also note how after EQ, the position of the guitar strumming feels very spacious, tinkling at the extreme reaches of the left and right channels.
