According to Monahan, tensions arose when Williams allegedly ordered Lil Fee to stab another inmate suspected of being an informant. Cox refused, prompting a violent confrontation during which Cox stabbed Williams. Despite the attack, Williams’s large physique likely minimized the injury’s severity. Following the stabbing, Lil Fee was placed in extreme isolation, allowed yard time only alone to protect him from retaliation, as Williams reportedly ordered others to kill Cox in response.
