Qatar, the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup got a lot of bad press in the West at the time. I came to Doha الدوحة, The capital of Qatar قطر, with an open mind, to see what Qatar was all about beyond that. What I found surprised me - I really enjoyed my time in Doha! Public transport is pretty decent, you can walk without needing a car, and taxis are cheap and available when the public transport isn't.
