Hi! Today, the restoration of an old rusty pocket knife. I bought it at a flea market cheap. The condition of the knife is terrible, the rust is deep, there are no original parts on the handle of the knife. I'll fix it, I'm starting to restore the knife! First, I took the knife apart, I put the blade and part of the mechanism in a rust remover. I dropped the steel linings, welded some of them with a welding machine and sanded them. They turned out like new. I cleaned and degreased the handle of my pocket knife. I glued the crack in the wood handle of the knife and then sanded it. After that, I glued it to the main iron part and put it aside for a while. Also, in the process of assembling the knife, I realized that this knife had been redone a couple of times. Judging by the different sizes of the parts, by the extra number of holes in the handle. I washed the blade of the knife and part of the mechanism in soda water and cleaned it with a laser brush. Next, I hand-ground the knife and sharpened it. Instead of the lost parts of the knife handle, I used a deer horn. I used steel and brass pins.
