I'll be showing you how to make "korvapuusti", Finland’s beloved cinnamon buns, made with cardamom-scented dough. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoy cozy lifestyle vlogs and slow simple living content 💛 Korvapuusti Recipe (Finnish Cinnamon Buns) Dough ingredients: ▢ ½ cup milk, lukewarm ▢ 1 tablespoon dry yeast ​ ▢ ¼ cup granulated sugar ▢ 30 grams melted butter ▢ ½ teaspoon salt ▢ ½ tablespoon cardamom, freshly ground ▢ 1 medium egg ▢ 2 to 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour ▢ Pearl sugar for topping ( or almond flakes ) Filling Ingredients: ▢ 1 tablespoon Cinnamon ▢ ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional) ▢ ⅓ cup light brown Sugar ▢ 30-40 grams unsalted butter, room temperature - Dissolve half of the sugar into lukewarm milk and add the yeast. - Once the yeast has bloomed, add the remaining sugar, melted butter, salt and egg and mix - Set aside 1/4 cup of flour for kneading - Add the crushed cardamom into the rest of the flour and start adding it into liquid mixture in parts. I recommend adding 1 cup first and slowly add 1/4 at a time or until mixture comes together. - Dust the surface and knead the dough until smooth ( if you're not using stand mixer) - Use more or less flour just until the dough easily pulls away and no longer sticky. - Let the dough rise in lightly oiled bowl until double in size To prepare the dough for the next step, please watch the video for demonstration.
