Founded in 1996, the Forum for European Philosophy is an educational charity that has gained widespread recognition for its work as initiator and sponsor of engaging and thoughtful events open to the general public. Today, in all of our activities we encourage wider participation and promote thought-provoking discussion on issues connected with contemporary cultural and intellectual life. Our full and varied programme of events showcases the work of contemporary academic philosophers from all philosophical traditions, often in conversation with each other and with academics from other disciplines, and we studiously avoid academic papers! Our events are always open to everyone, and most are free to attend and do not require registration.
