🏝️ These Tiny Remote Islands Are LOADED with Incredible Finds!

We finally got back out to the coast to do some island exploration and fossil hunting, primarily for Eocene aged fossils, which are the oldest fossils you can find in the state of Florida. These fossils are from an ancient ocean that once covered the entire state, teaming with life that would seem very foreign to us. The recent hurricanes that hit Florida washed these islands out pretty heavily, which always leads to better fossil hunting. We ended the day with an incredible encounter with hundreds of thousands of flying mammals! 🦇 This is something I never thought I'd see in person, so I love that we were able to capture it and share it with all of you.
