We set out on a trip across Indonesia from our home in Amsterdam, and one thing people told us, and we read many times, was to SKIP Jakarta. Avoid it, don't go, it's a waste, there is nothing to see, etc... We are really glad we DID NOT listen to that advice. Follow us along in this video as we give you our first impressions of the capital of Indonesia, and the 2nd largest metro region on earth, Jakarta. We start out heading up the top of the Monas monument and then try some delicious Indonesian food, check out a very interesting museum, and just try to explore the city and get a feel for this Southeast Asia metropolis.
