I didn’t expect much from Bangbae-dong. I thought it would be a quiet, wealthy neighborhood in Seocho-gu. But once I started walking, I found something else entirely. A place that was once incredibly dangerous, filled with folk tales, shamanic sites, Game of Thrones-like power struggles, and an almost obsessive coffee culture. This is neighborhood 137.
