Turning a White Marble Yunstone Fountain Pen

In this video I turn a Yunstone blank for the first time as part of my first fountain pen project. Yunstone blanks are similar to Trustone blanks in that they are made from crushed stone mixed with resin. They are harder to turn than standard acrylic blanks but are still manageable with sharp tools and finish to a high gloss when polished with micro mesh pads. The pen mechanism is a Vertex Magnetic Fountain pen. The finished pen is portable with the use of a magnet that is concealed in the cap. The magnet is fairly strong and holds the cap over the nib when the pen is not in use. I'd recommend both the pen kit and the yunstone blank.
