Transketolase is the enzyme for the vitamin B deficiency test. Enzymes are the things that do the work in the body and B1 is involved in five different enzymes. Vitamin B1 deficiency is called beriberi and is known as a great mimicker of disease. He also talks about several reasons why you become deficient in B1.
