After the property went quiet and attempts to reach the family failed, dispatch classified the call as a shots-fired welfare check. Sheriff’s deputies responded and approached the residence cautiously. Upon making contact with Adlai, deputies quickly realized the situation was far more serious than a routine welfare check. Inside the home, deputies observed large amounts of bl**d, cleaning supplies, and visible drag marks suggesting victims had been moved. No bodies were initially located inside the residence, leading investigators to believe the victims were nearby. Investigators later determined the victims had not been k*lled where they were ultimately found. Evidence inside the home indicated attempts to alter or clean the scene. Multiple potential weapons were documented. Deputies also discovered that the family dogs were also k*lled during the same incident, further escalating the seriousness of the investigation.
