When the GogetAir G750 first appeared on the flightline at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023, most pilots walked past it without a second glance. Just another clean European composite, right? A sleek white 2+2 with a Rotax up front. Glass panel. BRS chute. A nice airplane, sure, but nothing that looked like it would change anything. But behind that anonymous airframe was a story no one knew. A story that began more than a decade earlier in Ajdovščina, Slovenia, inside a small workshop where aircraft designer Gregor Cokan and aerodynamicist Matej Hribar were trying to create the “perfect little tourer.” Not a mass-market trainer. Not a flashy speed machine. Just a beautifully balanced, efficient travelling aircraft for Europe’s growing ultralight community. That one-off prototype caught the attention of engineer Irena Pavlin, who pushed the team to turn the concept into a real production airplane. By 2018, GogetAir had quietly grown into a structured company and by 2022, with production manager Luka Drobež and test pilot Jure Bizjak on board, the G750 was finally ready for the world stage. The modern G750 is a 750-kilogram, 2+2 composite tourer built in a CAA-approved facility in Slovenia. It offers cruise speeds flirting with older certified four-seat aircraft like the Diamond DA40 and Cirrus SR20, but on Rotax fuel burns. By 2024, GogetAir had secured a Slovenian Civil Aviation Authority Production Certificate, making it one of the few European ultralight manufacturers with a fully audited production system. Then came the shocker: the G750TP, powered by the Turbotech TP-R90 regenerative turboprop. The turbine program began quietly in late 2022 after a meeting between GogetAir’s founder Dejan Pust, project engineer Ana Lesjak, and Turbotech’s CTO François Dumas in Paris. What started as a speculative concept turned into a flying prototype when test pilot Bizjak took the world’s first G750TP airborne in September 2024. By mid-2025, GogetAir announced that the first customer TP-R90 aircraft had been delivered, and Turbotech confirmed plans to scale TP-R90 production from 50 units per year toward 500, enough to power everything from ultralights to UAVs. This new G750TP offered something the GA world had almost never seen: A Jet-A turbine that burns fuel at Rotax-like levels. While early demonstrations showed cruise speeds around 145 knots and fuel flows between 6–8 gallons per hour, the regenerative cycle promised unprecedented efficiency for such a small turbine. Mojogrip, AOPA Europe, and several test pilots who flew the demo aircraft described it as “a baby turboprop with the manners of a Rotax.” Where the G750 Stands Today: In Europe GogetAir sells both piston and turbine variants as factory-built ultralight / experimental aircraft under a 750 kg MTOW. They are not yet CS-23 certified, but the production line is fully CAA approved, and EASA certification work is ongoing. In the United States Scissortail Aerosport in Tulsa, led by completion specialist Jonathan “JT” Miller, is the official North American partner. Until MOSAIC goes live in 2026, U.S. buyers can only purchase the G750 as experimental-exhibition or as an experimental amateur-built kit completed with Scissortail’s assistance. The turbine version is expected to follow the same path. Performance in the Real World With modern Rotax engines, from the 100 hp 912iS to the 160 hp 916iS, the G750 offers: • 135–145 knots fast cruise • 120–130 knots normal cruise • 5–7.5 gallons per hour typical fuel burn • 750 kg (1,653 lb) MTOW • 680–770 lb useful load depending on engine • 447 lb payload with full fuel on typical builds • 800–1,000+ nm max theoretical range at economy settings Operationally it’s a big two-seater, not a full four-seater — two adults and two small children, or two adults and real baggage with full tanks. The G750TP’s Role in GA On paper, the turbine G750 competes with: • DA40 NG • Tecnam P2010 TDI • Sling TSi • SR20 • MCR 4S Evolution In reality, it occupies a niche no one else is touching: A Jet-A, fixed-gear, composite, 2+2 tourer with turbine smoothness and LSA-class simplicity. With projected pricing around: • $378,000 for a 916iS piston G750 • $495,000 for the G750TP turbine • +$60,000 for a full Garmin IFR suite …it slots between a high-end experimental build and an entry-level certified four-seater.
