臺灣大學科學教育發展中心（Center for the Advancement of Science Education，簡稱NTUCASE）成立於2008年10月。成立宗旨乃在期許能將臺灣大學的科學研究及相關專業，貢獻於科學教育、科學素養，以及科技文化之啟迪養成，深耕在地放眼國際，將NTUCASE打造成一個以臺大為基地的華文科教資源平台。 NTUCASE採雙軌策略，藉由時興的「網路」、「傳播」，舉辦各項科教活動、開發科普影音網路節目、經營科普多媒體傳播，同時推動科普平面、電子出版等。以推動科學人文跨科際教育的新觀念，集結科教、科傳社群革新科學教育，開創了臺灣科學教育前所未有的紀錄。

一百年前的1915年，愛因斯坦寫下了他的著名方程，揭示了重力與動態時空的本質。愛因斯坦的發現被認為是人類文明史上最偉大的成就之一。他最初的想法是試圖將物理學的兩大重要理論—牛頓重力理論與狹義相對論統一起來。愛因斯坦應用黎曼幾何中的張量理論，發現了著名的愛因斯坦方程式，並用之成功解釋了水星進動現象和預言太陽邊緣的恒星光線由於時空曲率會導致彎曲。 孤立物理系統中品質的正定性質是廣義相對論中的一個基本問題。這個問題在35年前被我和Schoen用幾何分析方法解決。另一個長期公開的難題是關於擬局部品質的定義，最近由王慕道，陳柏寧和我給出了解答。 活動官網：http://case.ntu.edu.tw/ex/Einstein 2015/12/19 pm2：00 ,臺灣大學應用力學館國際會議廳
