We're back in Malta visiting Nicole and Manuel in the northern village of Mellieha. Nicole and Manuel have both attended art school, and while Nicole is a practicing graphic designer and lecturer, Manuel is a builder and master craftsman having done most of the works and produced all of the custom furniture in the house. Their home design is an eclectic mix of old and new, and their goal was to strike a balance between modern and vintage. Their design acumen is clear as you step into the house and are welcomed by a very distinct aesthetic, using bright pops of colour, exposed concrete, and a touch of industrial design throughout.
