Today’s hunt started with a quest for linens, and ended with a van full of treasures! Join me for a full day of unexpected finds, from estate sales to old collections tucked away in basements and jewelry stores filled with sparkling history. We begin at Epic Estate Sales in Auburn, Washington, where I’m hoping to find vintage linens. Instead, I walk into a home brimming with forgotten charm—quirky dog figurines, antique Easter glass, vintage toys, railroad lanterns, miniatures, pottery, and more. A porcelain flower pin tops off a surprisingly large pile of antique and vintage finds, setting the tone for the rest of the day. Next stop is Rhinestone Rosie’s in Seattle. If you love costume jewelry with stories behind every sparkle, you’ll love meeting Rosie! She’s not just a repair expert—she’s an Antiques Roadshow appraiser with decades of knowledge. While we’re there, we browse her beautifully curated shop filled with vibrant colors and timeless designs. Before the van gets too full, we swing by Goodwill to donate a fish tank, then pick up a massive train collection—40 years in the making—and a few favorite pieces from a longtime consignor. Along the way, we spot Seattle landmarks, dig up a striking Art Deco caddy, and unearth a vintage photo that’s too good not to share! With a van bursting at the seams, we stop by my booth at Lander Street Vintage Mall. Several items just sold, so we restock with today's treasures—fall-hued décor, mid-century glass, cocktailware, and whimsical figurines. A drum with a story, a World's Fair chair, and Hollywood-era posters round out the day.
