En Portada' estrena "El laboratorio albanés", un documental sobre la iniciativa italiana de enviar a los migrantes a Albania, un país fuera de la Unión Europea mientras esperan que se resuelva su situación. Allí se tramita su solicitud de asilo o su repatriación. Esta "innovadora" solución del gobierno italiano de Giorgia Meloni supone una prueba de la externalización en terceros países de los centros de externalización de asilo y retorno de migrantes, con escaso éxito. Los tribunales, primero los italianos y después el tribunal de la UE cuestionaron las garantías jurídicas de este modelo, en especial el concepto de país de origen seguro. Esta medida podría ser copiada por otros países de la UE.
