La ministra portavoz, Pilar Alegría, ha reprochado al PP que no quiera respaldar la senda de estabilidad que el Gobierno ha retirado ante la falta de apoyos suficientes (Junts había anunciado que no lo respaldaba sin modificaciones) para aprobarla en el Congreso y ha asegurado que oponerse "no es votar en contra de este Gobierno, sino en contra de la gente de este país". Frente al "cálculo partidista" que ha recriminado al PP dentro de su política "irresponsable y errática de votar en contra de todo", el Gobierno ha decidido dar "una nueva oportunidad al diálogo", ha dicho Alegría, para tratar de alcanzar un acuerdo que permita sacar adelante un nuevo objetivo de déficit para poder presentar los presupuestos de 2025. Por su parte, el Ministerio de Economía ha presentado al Consejo de Ministros la actualización del cuadro macroeconómico a medio plazo que incluye una revisión de tres décimas al alza del crecimiento previsto para 2024, que pasa del 2,4 al 2,7 por ciento y la ministra para la Transición Ecológica, Teresa Ribera ha anunciado que el Gobierno prevé que el Plan Nacional Integrado para la Energía y Clima movilice hasta 308.000 millones en inversiones y cree 560.000 empleos en 2030. Los ministros se han reunido sin el presidente del gobierno, Pedro Sánchez que está en Nueva York para la Asamblea General de la ONU.
