I was contacted by the owner of a yard where I had recently done some work in the front yard of this house, which looks abandoned. This time, I was asked to help clear the backyard of almost all the wild bushes that had grown there on their own over a long period of time without proper care, as well as to trim two hedges and a heavily overgrown laurel tree. The weather greeted me with rain again, but despite this, I put on a raincoat, took a chainsaw and a ladder, and set to work, starting with trimming an acacia tree. I cut all the branches down to the base, as they completely covered the street lamp post. Then I moved to the yard and started trimming a larger yew bush, cutting it down by almost half, but the branches were thin in places and I had to use a trimmer because the chainsaw simply couldn't cut the branches. At some point, the rain almost stopped and I got rid of my raincoat. then I pruned the side facing the street. When I was done with the yew, I went back into the yard and started pruning a huge laurel tree. It was a huge tree. I don't know how many years it took to grow to such a size, but it was about 7 meters tall, and I had to cut it down to 2.5 meters. With a chainsaw, it took me about an hour to complete this task. Realizing that there was a lot of work to be done and that I wouldn't be able to finish it all in one day, I hurried to load up a full trailer so that I could take everything to the dump and come back. That's what I did, and when I returned an hour later, I loaded the cut laurel branches into the trailer again. I also had to take everything to the dump again, and on the way back, I took a tripod with a hoist with me, as I already knew that I would have to remove several roots. When I returned, I first cut the bamboo that was between two yew bushes, removed an old small tree that simply broke in my hands, dug up various bushes with a hoe, and then cut down two maple trees. I tried to saw them into firewood right away, but the chain came off the saw, so I decided to continue working and, using a tripod with a hoist, I pulled the tree root out of the ground. Then I moved along the fence, removing all the acacia bushes and other trees, uprooting them with a hoe. I discovered the culprit: the stump of a huge acacia tree that had been cut down many years ago, but whose roots had sprouted new seedlings everywhere. In the very corner of the fence, I cut down another acacia tree and tried to remove the root with a hoe, but it was not easy. After almost an hour, I finally dug up the root and continued to dig up all the dead or wild bushes, as well as another walnut tree. At some point, my hoe made a crunching sound, which meant that the handle had cracked, but I still had a lot of work to do with it, so I used tape to make sure the hoe would last until I finished the job. After removing all the bushes, I started cleaning up and collected all the clippings and loaded them into the trailer. then raked everything onto the grass. I also found a lot of trash, which made me think that people passing by had simply thrown their trash into the bushes behind the fence. I then collected everything into green bags and put the trash in a dumpster. To remove smaller weeds near the stone fence, I used a trimmer, and with the help of a backpack blower, I blew everything onto the grass. Then I left again to unload the trailer, and when I returned, I cleared away a pile of old tiles and rotten boards, among which I found a funny garden figure, which I placed in the corner of the yard so that it wouldn't look too empty. And so I finally got down to mowing the lawn, mainly to collect all the small leaves. Also, the last time I worked here, I noticed that there was stonework along the wall where the lawn was, so I decided to clean it up with a shovel as well. This seemingly simple task took me three days and a total of 14 hours, and I removed three full trailers of branches and some old bathroom tiles and boards.
