While working on one of the houses nearby, I noticed another house that appeared to be in good condition at first glance, but as I drove past, I saw that the backyard was heavily overgrown, so I decided to go in and offer my assistance. The owner showed me the yard and said that he couldn't remember what had been there before, as a few years ago they had wanted to build a terrace, although they had done something, as the laurel hedge had been trimmed previously. The next day, I returned to try to clear the weeds and overgrown grass from the yard, where everything from simple grass to blackberries and some shrubs were growing. I started by removing the weeds from the parking lot, but when I moved to the yard, I realized that my Stihl KMA135 cordless trimmer was too weak for the tall grass, so I took the Stihl KM131 petrol trimmer, but after a while it also failed to cope with the job, so the last option was to use the more powerful Stihl KM235R, and only then did the work start to progress, albeit with great difficulty. I also had to drag the old trampoline. After finishing mowing, I gathered all the cut grass into piles and transferred it to a trailer with a pitchfork. Then I mowed the grass again under the terrace near the garage and around the perimeter of the yard, and then started mowing the grass with a Stiga Collector 48s lawn mower. While I was doing all this, a neighbor came up to me and said, “You're wasting your time, because this yard will look the same again in a month!” After talking to him, he said that this was not the first time that someone had cleaned everything up here, but after a while, everything returned to the way it was. Nevertheless, at the end of the work, I also trimmed two hedges. I had to cut the second hedge much more heavily because it was quite overgrown, but before that, I checked to see if there were any bird nests there. Despite everything, the work was interesting, and I noticed that the area near the garage was fenced off with a curb and was covered with stones and other paving debris. Later, they told me that they wanted to make a stone patio there and asked me if I could take on the job! All this took me about 7 hours and one full trailer.
