Real Differences Between The Lamborghini Gallardo and Huracan

👋 Now that I have an entire year of ownership under m y belt in my 2014 Gallardo LP550 and over 5,000 miles, lets drive it alongside the Lamborghini Huracan! This Huracan is a 2015 model year LP610 and finished in a similar spec! I absolutely love the V10 engine in my Gallardo and it really adds so much character and soul to the driving experience. I enjoy the 6 speed E-Gear single clutch transmission too. It drives like a manual and kicks you in the back and is just an experience al the time to drive. The Gallardo has a pretty open feeling interior and I really enjoy being behind the wheel. I wouldn't mind just a tad more leg room and being able to recline just a hair more. But overall it's a thrilling car to drive at $135,000. A similar mileage Huracan will go for minimum of $180,000, so it will definitely be a jump in price. Lamborghini gave the Huracan a slightly longer wheelbase which does make the leg room better and you can recline more. So I do get a bit more comfortable in the Huracan. However the interior feels a bit busy and rear visibility isn't as good as the Gallardo. The 7 speed DCT is lightning quick and truly lets you utilize the V10 engine even more! In Strada mode the Huracan does drives very tame and you can almost forget you are in a supercar. So it sort of takes away from the crazy experience of owing a Lamborghini. However once you put the Huracan into Corsa mode and use the paddle shifters, the experience wakes up and is a whole new level. The Huracan is much more responsive and a nice step up in performance to take things back to a thrilling level. So overall Lamborghini did a fantastic job taking the Huracan and making it a more livable version of the Gallardo. It makes you want to drive it even more since it can tone down more. But they didn't loose the character. Huracan still is a blast and I could see getting into one once I'm ready to not have a 'hard' car to drive. SO while I enjoy the Gallardo's raw driving dynamics, and I'm not at all ready to sell my Gallardo. One day the Huracan's toned down nature will be a great upgrade.
