Rob Blessin Demo Previous 68K Emulator running NeXTSTEP 3 3 How to Configure run NeXT 3rd party apps

Hello, Next community, Brad, Colin and Greg : I've hada lot of customers that were asking if they have Previous r68K Emulator unning on modern Mac or PC hardware, that's our Next Step 68K emulator, would it be able to run all of the NeXT third-party applications? So that got my wheels turning, and I figured, well, let's try it out. So what I did is I've got a master file that I use to run Zulu RP2040 cards, the 2350 blasters, and the BlueSCSI cards. And so with those master files, I went into previous and I show you how to configure it and then point at those 2GB.hda drive partitions, and then see if they mount up. And to my surprise, they mount up, so we have six 2GB partitions loaded with thousands of Next apps. This is going to make it a lot easier for me to clean up the master in the future, agame changer nd also be able to demo how to use all the different applications in Next. So this is exciting news for me. Here I'm figuring out all this stuff 33 years later. I kind of touched on it a few times before, but I wasn't sure all this would work. And with the latest versions of previous, it's getting better all the time kudos to the developer team. We even have an NFS, which is a network file share. a folder that comes up that lets you access anything on my Mac mini hard drive. I'm hoping that it'll be transparent over to the Windows 11 world, um, which I believe Brad is running, and I think Greg's in Mac OS. Colin on Linux So, uh, with you guys' help, we can kind of figure out all this stuff, and then uh I would sell my master image uh with the SD card, or we can Dropbox it. It'll be under a hundred dollars call it $75. That helps me keep the lights on here. I do have permission from a lot of the original authors, including Apple,, and uh going way back to Next, and recently updated the reseller license , fun stuff I've been doing this NeXT Hardware and Software as a career for 33 years. I procured a lot of the original software CD compilation discs, and appreciate your business and support it also helps me employ an assistant, and we also do Next hardware buy sell trade refurbish and repair and trioubleshoot. I'm computerpowwow on eBay ! So this is just another thing that makes it kind of fun for everybody to be able to experience Next and the third-party apps. Please don't take my master image and duplicate it as it keeps the lights on here. It's kind of my bread and butter. I am willing to share it with everybody, and I hope that you all enjoy it, and let's just kind of go from there. I don't make a fortune on this stuff, as I say, and I do have medical expenses at age 62. What else am I gonna do, man lol ?
