Viktor ZULU RP2040 SCSI Sd 5.25” to 3.5” mount with 3.5” to 2.5 “ nested bracket for NeXT 68040Cube

Hello Victor and NeXT community: I think I’ve come up with a pretty cool way to mount these new 2026 RP 2040 Zulu compact cards inside the NeXT cube Drive harness . So you don’t have to completely disassemble the cube to get out the little SD card should’ve throw errors or you want to change the image. You have your 5 1/4 to 3 1/2 inch bracket and then I have an additional 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 inch sled that’s nested and it makes it easy to just lift that nested sled out to access the little SD card . It’s a lot easier than completely disassembling the cube every time you have to rewrite the SD card. I may experiment with using that second optical drive slot in the future with this set up. It might just work to where you could use it to have the card accessible from the front of the cube, which would be phenomenal. I’m just innovating here inventing , thinking outside the box. If you guys have any ideas feel free to contribute. It’s kind of fun in a retro geek sort of hardware hack away way . if you wanna rewrite it or you have a different image , no longer a pain in the butt so you could have one image next step 33 and another image with open step 42 for example, maybe another one that’s running BSD at one point there was even a Linux port going on for Dex hardware . I’m not sure if the BSD port is still active , it was some sort of net boot, I’m just trying to make the SD card a little more protected than just flopping around without a bracket and by nesting it grants easy access to that card. as I have big hands this makes it simple to get at the little tiny microSD card. I may see if I could mod the sled so that it actually slides along rails that would be kind of cool kind of like opening a drawer is the thought and it looks like it would easily accommodate two of these RP 2040 cards food for thought.
