What followed was a full restoration, bringing it back to working condition with care and precision. But to test its precision and strength, I went a little off-script — just once. I tried grinding roasted pistachios and used them to create a creamy Dubai-style chocolate. Don’t worry — the grinder is safe, preserved, and will return to its original role: coffee only :) Manufactured in France around 1950, this vintage Peugeot grinder is a symbol of durability and precision engineering. Peugeot started producing coffee grinders in the 1840s — long before making cars — and their reputation has remained strong ever since. The model restored in this video was built from cast metal and solid wood, and it still holds up after more than 70 years. 🔧 The restoration process included: • Complete disassembly • Paint removal using solvent • Sandblasting with aluminum oxide • Powder coating • Wooden parts cleaned and restored • Small metal parts restored and polished • Full reassembly and functional testing 🔥 Final Test • After the restoration was complete, I made a chocolate dessert using the freshly ground pistachios.
