If you love old-fashioned living, cozy homemaking, and simple slow days at home, I hope this video inspires you to savor your own October mornings a little more deeply. 🍂 Recipes for todays video: Pumpkin Oatmeal: 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats 1 ½ cups milk 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup plus additional to taste 1 tsp pumpkin spice 1/3 cup pumpkin puree ¼ teaspoon kosher salt Pear Tart: The Crust:1 1/2 cups flour I used half whole wheat 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 cup butter melted 2 tablespoons milk or water 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Filling: 3 -4 pears sliced and layered over crust 3/4 cups sugar ( In the future i will only use 1/2 cup of sugar, way to sweet for my liking) 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, cold Preheat oven to 425. Mix crust and press into 9 inch tart pan. Slice and layer pears over crust. Crumble sugar and cold butter and sprinkle on top of pears. Bake in oven for about 35 minutes.
