Our kind neighbor gave us fresh gooseberries, and I turned them into a warm crumble, sweet jam, and a comforting baked chicken with gooseberry sauce for dinner. I hope this peaceful video brings you calm and warmth throughout your day.🌸 📌Gooseberry Crumble📌 Ingredients: Fillings📌 1.5 kg gooseberries (topped and tailed) 350g sugar 3 tbsp potato flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp orange zest 1 tbsp vanilla extract 70 ml fresh orange juice 4 tbsp all-purpose flour 4 tbsp sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 120g rolled oats Crumble Toppings:📌 100g all-purpose flour 80g cold butter 100g granola 100g dark brown sugar A pinch of salt Instructions:📌 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C 2. Prepare the gooseberries (topped and tailed), then place them in the cooking pot. 3. Pour the fresh orange juice, add sugar, potato flour, cinnamon, orange zest, and vanilla extract, then mix well. 4. Cook over medium to high heat until the berries begin to burst, approximately 30 minutes 5. In a jar, place all-purpose flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover the jar and shake thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are well mixed. 6. In a separate bowl, prepare the rolled oats. 7. Prepare the crumble. In a bowl, place all-purpose flour, add cold butter, granola, dark brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Combine all the ingredients by hand thoroughly until fully incorporated, then set aside. 8. Prepare a 15x9x3-inch baking dish by greasing the bottom with butter. 9. Start with a layer of cooked berries at the bottom. Add rolled oats evenly, followed by a mixture of flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Repeat this process until all berries are layered in the dish. 10. Distribute the crumble topping evenly over the surface. 11. Bake for 40-45 minutes 12. Remove the crumble from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. 13. Serve the crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla cream. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon for a comforting aroma, and enjoy it with your favorite drinks.
