It was announced that Splitgate 2 from 1047 Games, released on June 6, 2025, would be reverting back to Beta as they work to rebuild major parts of the game. This announcement is yet another major setback throughout the bizarre history of Splitgate, and one that has left me baffled at how it all went so wrong. This is the story of Splitgate 2. And this is the story of how NOT to save a game.
