Whew! I’m ready to hibernate now 😅. While it’s certainly a lot of work, there’s nothing more rewarding and satisfying than having a year’s supply of organic food tucked away to nourish us in the year to come. What we aren’t able to produce ourselves, we obtain from local farmers (raw milk, pork) and Azure Standard (bulk grains, nuts, etc.). We’re so thankful for them since we’re not 100% self-sufficient yet, and to be honest, we likely will never be! I enjoy connecting with our local producers 🫶🏼. It’s been a challenge to figure out where to fit everything since we’re in a 960 sq ft cabin with no basement, but I think we did it. If you’re short on space too, don’t shy away from getting creative! Put jars under your bed or put a shelf in a guest room.
