Rome Vlog: My Favourite Eats, Hidden Gems & Vintage Shopping

Hi my loves ! I’m so excited to finally share this Rome vlog with you. Even though the first two days didn’t go quite as planned. I was so sick on the flight and then jet lag had me feeling like a zombie, it was all worth it for the last two days I got to truly soak in the magic of Rome. This trip was all about good food, sight seeing, connections, and living in the moment. I wanted to share some of my favourite places in Rome, places that made me feel right at home and reminded me why I love travelling so much. We stayed at the Rome Edition Hotel, which was featured in the sexiest hotels in the world list (https://www.editionhotels.com/rome/). It had a stylishly modern decor and posh detailing by Ian Schrager, truly an elevated experience that matched the magic of the city. Our first dinner in Rome was at DaLu a spot I’d researched before the trip because I’m a big believer in making guides for every destination. I want every meal to count. We had the most incredible meal: I had the local catch of the day, lightly breaded in rice flour and pan-fried in olive oil like an elevated Italian fish and chips. My little brother tried two different pastas, and he (and my mom!) both agreed it was the best cacio e pepe of the whole trip (so far) and he tested this at almost every restaurant! Their soft scrambled eggs and freshly baked organic sourdough bread (which changes daily!) were just perfection. The staff made us feel like locals, they were warm, welcoming, and remembered our order every morning. We connected through health and nutrition consultations and finally met in person in Rome. It was such a reminder of how powerful social media can be in creating genuine connections. It’s a local gem with a big focus on fresh seafood. The staff were incredibly accommodating of my dairy allergy, customizing dishes just for me, and by the third night, Marco (one of the owners) even sat with us at our table to chat. It felt like sharing a meal with old friends. DaMare: https://www.damareroma.it No trip to Italy is complete without gelato, and my little brother absolutely nailed this find: Gelateria Fatamorgana. They had the most unique sorbet flavours, perfect for my dairy allergy. I went for the pineapple ginger, and it was packed with fresh pineapple juice and real chunks of ginger. One of the best sorbets I’ve ever had, and all made with fresh, local, organic ingredients.
