From movement to mindset, this day was all about filling my own cup and honouring my body in every way. So, what is solo dating? It’s all about spending intentional, quality time with yourself, just like you would on a date with a romantic partner. But the focus here is on YOU—showing up for yourself even more than you would for someone else. Solo dating is NOT about being bored or lonely. It's about embracing the stillness and peace that come from solitude. It’s about appreciating life without constant stimulation and building a sense of self-acceptance and confidence. You're learning to love your own company, and that makes all the difference. How can solo dates align with your love languages? Physical Touch: Book a massage or spa day. Gift Giving: Go shopping for yourself. Acts of Service: Make breakfast in bed for yourself. Words of Affirmation: Write yourself a love letter. Quality Time: Dine out alone or take yourself to a gallery. And don’t forget about low-budget solo date ideas—building a fort at home, baking, or painting by a lake can be just as magical. By affirming your strengths and your value, you’re programming your brain to show up as your best self every day. Massage time—because if there’s one thing I’ll splurge on, it’s a massage. I went to Knead in Vancouver and saw Jerry, and she was absolutely amazing. One of the best massages I’ve ever had.
