I surely was NOT expecting that switch up along the way, but I think it all turned out for the best! 😅   I’ve had protective broody hens before, but that was just a bit much 🫣. She would have totally trampled them anytime I stuck my hand in to refresh the feed or water. Do you agree?   So far, nice mama hen is LOVING her new babies and she’s doing such a great job as a first-time mom. I’m so thankful that she stepped in! WHEW! 😅   Also, she’s doing SUCH a great job that I think I’ll let her incubate the eggs herself next time, too.
