Autopsy Details Murdered Rapper Julio Foolio's Gunshot Wounds

Ryan McCormick is an associate medical examiner at the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office in Florida. He testified in Alicia Andrews' trial over rapper Julio Foolio's murder today (Monday, October 27, day 4). McCormick estimated he's conducted 2,000-2,200 autopsies, many involving gunshot wounds. He didn't conduct Foolio's autopsy, but he reviewed the report. Foolio, legal name Charles Jones, died from gunshot wounds to the torso and back that caused fatal injuries to the heart, aorta, and lungs. The examiner documented the wounds, including a graze wound on the right arm and shrapnel injuries. He also recovered projectiles and documented them for evidence. The manner of death was determined as homicide. Assistant State Attorney Scott Harmon questioned McCormick in direct-examination. Andrews' lawyer Jeremy McLymont cross-examined him. Andrews wasn't present when Foolio was killed on June 23, 2024, but prosecutors say she helped plan the murder, including following him and staking out his locations, and is equally culpable, though they are not seeking the death penalty against her like they are against Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy. Chance was Andrews' boyfriend.
