Calling him an "evil person," a judge in Florida today sentenced a man who killed his adoptive parents to life in prison without the possibility of parole. "Mr. Tower, I don't know what else to say. You seem to be an evil spirit, an evil person, evil spirit," Judge Thomas Krug told 24-year-old Dima Tower. "You're talking foolish. I'm full of remorse," Tower interrupted. A jury convicted Tower earlier today (Friday, November 14) after deliberating less than 90 minutes. Krug, who presides in Florida's 12th Judicial Circuit in Sarasota, sentenced Tower to two terms of life in prison without parole for the August 2023 stabbing deaths of Jennifer and Robbie Tower. He'll serve the sentences at the same time.Judge Krug also sentenced Tower to five years prison for fleeing police, which he'll serve at the same time as his life sentences. The Towers were Christian missionaries who adopted Tower from Ukraine in 2016 when he was 14.
